Yale launches Linus L2 Lite smart lock with KeySense
Yale has launched the Linus Smart Lock L2 Lite, adding KeySense technology, app-based access management and smart-home integration for key-free home access.
The new model supports automatic unlocking, shared access and remote management through the Yale Home app. Yale Linus Smart Lock L2 Lite introduces KeySense technology, which allows users to unlock the door with a short button press from inside. A longer press can trigger automatic locking after a customizable delay.
Key-free access and entry management
Outside, Auto-Unlock uses the user’s phone location to unlock the door as they approach. Users can also share access with family and friends without physical spare keys. Individual access can be provided through a Yale Smart Keypad, while real-time notifications in the Yale Home app show when authorized users arrive.
DIY installation and smart-home integration
Designed for renters and homeowners, the Linus L2 Lite fits most European doors without drilling or professional installation. The Yale Home app provides step-by-step setup guidance.
With a Yale Wi-Fi Bridge, users can unlock doors remotely, check lock status and review access history through the app. In addition, Matter compatibility via Thread enables integration with Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home and Samsung SmartThings.
Security features
The lock is mounted on the inside of the door, keeping it out of view from outside. Yale says the Linus L2 Lite uses encryption to protect against unauthorized access, while Yale Home accounts support two-factor authentication. “The new Yale Linus® Smart Lock L2 Lite offers our customers unparalleled convenience, making home access effortless,” said Aristidis Kotarelas, VP & Head of ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions ME.
