GBM launches UAE’s first Cisco Secure AI Factory lab
Gulf Business Machines (GBM) has launched the UAE’s first AI Lab built on the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA. The lab targets secure and sovereign AI deployment across the GCC.
GBM says the platform can help organizations move AI projects from experimentation to production in weeks rather than months.
The lab supports secure on-premises and hybrid AI use cases. It also addresses data residency, regulatory compliance, security and low-latency processing.
Security built into the AI infrastructure
Cisco’s pre-validated modular infrastructure with NVIDIA combines high-performance computing, networking and security.
The architecture protects models, agents, workloads and data paths. It also provides continuous, real-time monitoring of AI workloads and agent activity.
The platform enforces security policies at the hardware level. It also includes NVIDIA AI Enterprise software.
GBM said the lab gives GCC organizations infrastructure for AI deployment while addressing sovereignty, data residency and regulatory requirements.
“As regional enterprises transition from AI experimentation to full-scale operationalization, they face a critical decision-making window. Building production-grade AI requires a delicate balance between rapid innovation and strict data governance. We have bridged this gap by turning world-class technology frameworks into secure, locally managed platforms tailored for the GCC.”
– Pieter Bil, CEO at GBM
Sovereign AI for GCC organizations
GBM designed the AI Lab around regional requirements for sovereignty, data residency and regulation.
The company will offer end-to-end Secure AI Factory architectures. These will extend from the core data center to the edge.
“The next era of AI growth in the Gulf will be defined by those organizations that are able to move their AI visions to commercial reality quickly and effectively, with sovereign control and resilience. Our collaboration with GBM and NVIDIA is about more than deploying infrastructure, it is about helping accelerate the Gulf’s ambition to lead the global AI economy on its own terms.”
– Cassie Roach, VP of Global Partner Sales, AI Infrastructure & Connectivity at Cisco
NVIDIA said enterprise AI is moving toward inference-optimized and agentic infrastructure. The company said its accelerated computing and AI Enterprise software support these workloads at scale.
GBM’s AI Lab will allow organizations across the GCC to test how they can deploy that infrastructure securely.
