GITEX expands Southeast Europe reach through Air Serbia deal
GITEX AI Belgrade and Air Serbia have formed a strategic partnership to improve access between Southeast Europe and global technology markets.
The agreement will connect Air Serbia’s network of more than 100 destinations with the wider GITEX ecosystem and strengthen links between the region and global business, technology and investment hubs. According to GITEX AI Belgrade, the partnership is part of preparations for GITEX AI Belgrade, which will take place from May 25-27, 2027 at Belgrade Fair.
The event is the official technology and business platform of EXPO 2027 BELGRADE. It will bring together companies, startups, investors and government representatives from 19 regional markets.
Air Serbia joins GITEX airline network
Air Serbia becomes one of four airlines worldwide with this type of GITEX partnership. The other carriers are Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Royal Air Maroc. The agreement also makes Air Serbia the only Southeast European airline in the group.

GITEX’s wider network spans six continents and 14 countries and cities. Organizers say it connects 647,500 visitors, 18,200 technology companies and 5,050 investors each year. The partnership is intended to make Southeast Europe more accessible to that network while giving regional companies and innovators stronger links to global technology and investment markets.
Belgrade event targets regional technology growth
Organizers expect more than 700 companies and startups to exhibit at GITEX AI Belgrade. Hundreds of investors and thousands of technology executives are also expected to attend. The event will focus on AI infrastructure and digital solutions. It will also support technology pilots, commercial partnerships and international expansion. GITEX AI Belgrade will take place during the second week of EXPO 2027 BELGRADE. The wider Expo has already confirmed participation from 140 countries.
