TP-Link unveils first Wi-Fi 8 lineup

TP-Link has unveiled its first Wi-Fi 8 devices, led by the Archer 8 Ultra router and Deco 8 Ultra mesh system.

TP-Link announced, both devices are based on the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn standard. Wi-Fi 8 places greater emphasis on reliability, coverage and consistent performance in congested networks.

The Archer 8 Ultra offers wireless speeds of up to 19 Gbps. The Deco 8 Ultra reaches up to 22 Gbps and supports more than 200 connected devices.

TP-Link also highlights technologies such as Enhanced Long Range and Distributed Resource Units. These are designed to improve performance at the edge of coverage and under interference.

For the security and smart-building market, Wi-Fi 8 could improve the reliability of connected systems. Stronger coverage, more stable roaming and better performance under interference are particularly relevant for IoT devices, edge systems and other security technologies that depend on consistent wireless connectivity.

For the Gulf market, both products are expected to arrive in the UAE in December 2026. TP-Link says the UAE will be the first META market, followed by a wider regional rollout.
