Group-IB, UAE Cyber Security Council partner
Group-IB and the UAE Cyber Security Council have formed a strategic cybersecurity partnership. The cooperation will focus on threat intelligence, incident response and cybersecurity capacity building.
The partnership was announced during GISEC Global 2026. The two organizations will exchange threat intelligence and coordinate incident response. They also plan technical training and workshops for cybersecurity professionals in the UAE.
Earlier identification of cyber threats
The cooperation is expected to cover intelligence on cyber risks, threat actors, malicious infrastructure, malware and attack techniques. It will also include indicators of compromise.
The organizations plan to explore how intelligence on adversary behavior and infrastructure can help identify emerging threats earlier. The aim is to support preemptive defense and improve readiness before attacks occur.
Capacity building will form another part of the partnership. Planned activities include specialized training, technical workshops, educational materials and joint working groups.

Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, said: “Anticipating risks before they materialize is central to the UAE’s national cybersecurity vision. Our collaboration with Group-IB, including plans for an Innovation Center of Excellence, will strengthen our ability to share intelligence at speed and build the practical readiness our digital economy depends on.”
Innovation Center planned in UAE
Group-IB and the Council also intend to explore a joint Innovation Center of Excellence in the UAE. The proposed center would support cybersecurity innovation, knowledge exchange and capability development. Its scope and activities have not yet been finalized.
Dmitry Volkov, CEO of Group-IB, said: “Cybersecurity has traditionally focused on detecting and responding to attacks already underway. We believe the next step is to give defenders more time, using adversary intelligence, technology and AI to anticipate what is coming and take action before impact.”
The organizations expect to formalize the scope of their cooperation in the coming months. This will include defining priorities for the proposed Innovation Center of Excellence.
