UAE to deploy Microsoft AI cyber defense

Microsoft, the UAE Cyber Security Council and Core42 plan to deploy an AI-powered cybersecurity capability across UAE government entities.

The initiative combines automated vulnerability analysis with sovereign cloud infrastructure and local implementation support. According to Microsoft, the partners will roll out MDASH, Microsoft’s AI-powered cybersecurity capability, through a phased program of pilots, technical workshops and onboarding. MDASH uses AI models and automated analysis to identify vulnerabilities, prioritize risks and help security teams improve their cyber posture.

Sovereign cloud supports deployment

Core42, a UAE-based G42 company specializing in sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure will provide implementation and integration support. The deployment will also focus on privacy, operational resilience and sovereign control. The initiative follows the UAE’s wider push toward locally controlled AI and cloud infrastructure. In August, e& UAE expanded access to sovereign AI infrastructure for enterprise and government users.

The UAE Cyber Security Council will support adoption through the country’s National AI Test and Validation Lab. Microsoft said the initiative aims to strengthen government cyber resilience, protect critical services and improve readiness for emerging threats.
