Prior1 selects KentixONE for container data centers
Prior1 has selected KentixONE to provide integrated security and environmental monitoring for its new IT Container FIX data centers.
The modular IT infrastructure provider sought a flexible and scalable solution that could protect its container data centers against physical and environmental risks while supporting EN 50600 certification requirements.
Prior1 uses KentixONE as the central platform for real-time monitoring and control of security-related devices and sensors. Data center managers can oversee key parameters through a central dashboard or remotely via the KentixONE app.
KentixONE gives Prior1 centralized, real-time monitoring of security-related devices and sensors through a dashboard and mobile app.
“By integrating Kentix’s security solutions, we created a state-of-the-art container data center that not only meets the highest security standards but also offers the necessary flexibility for dynamic IT operations,” says Oliver Fronk, Team Coordinator at Prior 1. “This partnership has shown us how innovative technologies and modular systems can optimally support the requirements of digital transformation.”
Access control and monitoring
The KentixONE platform supports continuous monitoring and rapid response to physical and environmental risks. With SmartAccess functionality, Kentix IP wall readers provide two-factor authentication. Every access event is logged, while unauthorized attempts trigger an alarm. Data is stored in KentixONE and can be retrieved at any time.
Access events can also be tagged with a short video sequence. Access control and sensor technology combine to create alarm zones that protect against unauthorized intrusion and can be armed or disarmed manually or automatically. Smart video surveillance integrated with KentixONE detects security-related events in real time. Recordings and live images can be used to assess incidents and emergencies.
KentixONE combines access control, video surveillance and sensor monitoring within a single platform.
Environmental and energy monitoring
Kentix multisensors continuously track temperature, humidity and air quality. An integrated four-factor early fire detection system identifies anomalies that may indicate critical conditions, allowing action to be taken before damage occurs. Air conditioning and UPS systems are also integrated into the platform and continuously report their operating status.
In addition to physical security, the platform monitors environmental conditions, electrical safety and energy performance.
Kentix SmartPDUs monitor current and energy parameters, as well as conditions inside server racks. Integrated residual current measurement (RCM) supports electrical safety and fire protection and can detect creeping device failures. Anomalies are transmitted to KentixONE in real time. The platform also provides PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) data and generates a monthly energy report.
The deployment combines physical security, environmental monitoring and energy management within a single platform.
