Axis showcases cyber-resilient security at Milipol Qatar

Axis Communications highlighted integrated physical security, cybersecurity and AI-powered surveillance at Milipol Qatar 2026. The company emphasized secure-by-design systems for critical infrastructure, public venues and industrial facilities.

At the October 20-22 exhibition in Doha, Axis Communications presented its approach to open-platform security and digital resilience. The event also marked 30 years of Milipol Qatar, bringing together security professionals, technology providers and government stakeholders.

Cyber resilience and critical infrastructure protection

Axis emphasized the importance of cybersecurity across the design, installation and lifecycle management of physical security systems. The company’s approach includes signed firmware, privacy masking and integration between video management software, access control, network audio and third-party technologies.

Qatar’s regulatory environment was another focus. The company highlighted requirements overseen by the Ministry of Interior’s Security Systems Department (SSD), particularly for government and critical infrastructure. For oil and gas facilities, Axis outlined solutions including thermal cameras, explosion-protected devices, wide-area detection and radar-integrated PTZ cameras.

Security by design and integrated security are now critical for organizational resilience.

Mohammed Hoteit, Regional Sales Manager, Eastern Gulf at Axis Communications, linked the growing importance of integrated security to Qatar’s planned infrastructure investments in the course of the next year. “2027 is set to be a year of reconstruction and expansion for Qatar, with significant investment being directed to key industrial sites such as North Field and Ras Laffan, as well as national infrastructure such as Hamad International Airport. Heading into the new year, our message for representatives and decision-makers is simple: security by design and integrated security are now critical for organisational resilience,” he said.

Radar-video fusion and AI surveillance

The company’s Milipol showcase featured three security products addressing different operational requirements.

The AXIS D2123-VE Radar supports wide-area detection and AI-powered object classification. Integration with compatible PTZ cameras enables radar-video fusion for enhanced situational awareness. The AXIS Q6300-E Panoramic Camera uses multiple sensors to provide multidirectional coverage, including in challenging lighting conditions. Meanwhile, the AXIS W120 Body Worn Camera supports on-demand streaming and location tracking. Its open architecture enables integration with video and evidence management systems.

Axis also highlighted AI analytics, network audio and hybrid security architectures that combine different data sources.
