Uniview highlights wireless OwlView night surveillance

Uniview has introduced a wireless OwlView surveillance camera designed to simplify installation and improve image quality in low-light conditions. The camera combines Wi-Fi connectivity with the company’s fifth-generation Wise-ISP image processing technology.

According to Uniview’s official OwlView product information, Wise-ISP supports clearer, full-color surveillance in low-light environments. The technology aims to preserve image details while reducing reliance on supplemental lighting.

Wise-ISP improves low-light imaging

Uniview’s OwlView series combines advanced image processing with light-sensitive camera hardware. The manufacturer identifies an F1.0 lens or a 1/1.8-inch image sensor as key OwlView hardware characteristics.

According to Uniview, an F1.0 aperture captures four times more light than an F2.0 aperture. Meanwhile, its 1/1.8-inch sensor captures 180% more light than a 1/2.8-inch sensor.

Wise-ISP processing helps reproduce color and detail across nighttime scenes, including areas beyond the reach of supplemental lighting. The company also highlights the technology’s ability to produce color images with limited ambient light. This can reduce the need for continuous LED illumination.

Wireless connectivity simplifies deployment

The new wireless camera uses Wi-Fi connectivity to provide more flexible installation options. By reducing the need for network cabling, the design aims to simplify deployment in different surveillance environments.

The combination of wireless connectivity and improved low-light imaging targets users seeking easier installation and more consistent daytime and nighttime monitoring.
