Schneider Electric, PureHealth Partner on Healthcare

Schneider Electric and UAE-based PureHealth have announced a partnership to advance sustainability and digital operations across healthcare facilities. The collaboration will explore opportunities for IoT-enabled monitoring, predictive maintenance, and energy management.

Under the agreement, Schneider Electric will provide PureHealth with access to its EcoStruxure Resource Advisor platform. The companies will also explore sustainable infrastructure strategies across PureHealth’s healthcare portfolio. The collaboration combines Schneider Electric’s expertise in energy management, automation, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies with PureHealth’s regional healthcare ecosystem.

IoT Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance

The partnership focuses on three areas: advanced energy management, digital transformation, and sustainability advisory services. The companies will explore IoT-enabled monitoring, predictive maintenance, and ESG data management as part of their digital transformation efforts.

The partnership will support PureHealth’s Net Zero 2040 commitment through advanced energy management, IoT-enabled monitoring, predictive maintenance, and ESG data management across its healthcare facilities.

EcoStruxure Resource Advisor will help PureHealth consolidate energy and emissions data across its facilities. The platform will support the management of Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions. The collaboration will also explore sustainable building design, green building certifications, and circular economy practices.

“By combining Schneider Electric’s expertise in electrification, digitalisation, automation, and sustainability with PureHealth’s leadership in healthcare, we look forward to exploring innovative solutions that can accelerate decarbonisation while enhancing operational performance across healthcare ecosystems,” said Olivier Blum, Chief Executive Officer, Schneider Electric.

Supporting UAE Healthcare Sustainability Goals

The partnership supports PureHealth’s commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040. PureHealth reported a 37% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity between 2022 and 2024. Its Net Zero 2040 target has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.

“The future of healthcare depends on building systems that are not only clinically advanced but also sustainable, resilient and equipped to meet the needs of generations to come. By embedding sustainability into how healthcare environments are designed and operated, we can strengthen long-term performance while continuing to deliver better health outcomes for the communities we serve,” said Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer, PureHealth.

The collaboration also aligns with Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sustainability objectives. The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi aims to reduce the sector’s carbon emissions by 20% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050.

PureHealth’s healthcare network includes more than 110 hospitals and 316 clinics, alongside diagnostic centers, pharmacies, and healthcare technology services. The partnership is intended to support healthcare decarbonization, digital transformation, and improved operational performance across the UAE and the wider region.
