OPTEX TXI wins Detektor Product of the Year Award
OPTEX’s TXI Series has won Best Product of the Year in the Alarm & Detection category at the Detektor International Awards 2026. The award recognizes its approach to reducing unwanted alarms in outdoor perimeter protection.
According to the official OPTEX announcement, the award was presented on October 20 in Stockholm, Sweden. The ceremony took place during Skydd 2026, a security industry exhibition.
Established in 2000, the Detektor International Awards recognize security products for innovation and practical benefits. An independent editorial jury selects the winners without a formal product entry process.
Triple AND Logic earns recognition
The jury highlighted the TXI Series’ combination of high-mounted curtain detection and Triple AND Logic technology.

The TXI Series uses three detection zones that must activate simultaneously before triggering an alarm.
According to OPTEX, this approach helps distinguish human intruders from pets, small animals and environmental disturbances. As a result, installers can reduce unwanted alarms without relying solely on lower sensor sensitivity.
The technology also works with OPTEX’s Super Multidimensional Analysis (SMDA) digital processing to filter environmental interference.
Designed for high-mounted perimeter protection
The TXI Series supports installation heights between 2.2 and 4 meters. It provides a detection curtain measuring 12 meters by 2.4 meters. Applications include building facades, entrances, warehouses and other outdoor areas requiring defined perimeter protection.
The range includes wired and battery-operated models, with dual-technology and anti-masking options.
Eelko Griepink, OPTEX Regional Sales Manager for Benelux and the Nordics, received the award during the ceremony at Stockholmsmässan.
The award follows the launch of the OPTEX TXI Series earlier in 2026. The detectors introduced Triple AND Logic to reduce unwanted alarms in high-mounted outdoor perimeter applications.
