Dell and NVIDIA expand secure agentic AI systems

Dell Technologies has expanded its AI Factory with NVIDIA, introducing new security capabilities and infrastructure for enterprise AI agents. The announcement covers agent governance, local deployment and data center systems designed for larger AI workloads.

According to Dell Technologies’ official announcement, more than 6,500 enterprises have adopted its AI Factory with NVIDIA. The figure increased from 5,000 in the previous quarter.

The expanded portfolio includes validated AI software, deployment templates and infrastructure for organizations operating AI on systems they own and control.

“AI infrastructure is no longer a cost center. It’s a value creation center. Companies are expanding and reallocating budgets because AI infrastructure drives growth, productivity and competitive advantage. Together with NVIDIA, we are giving enterprises the integrated platforms they need to move agentic AI from experimentation to results, on infrastructure they own and control.”

– Michael Dell, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dell Technologies

Security controls for autonomous AI agents

Dell is introducing a layered security architecture for AI agents through its collaboration with NVIDIA and Red Hat.

The architecture combines hardware-rooted infrastructure with NVIDIA’s OpenShell Reference Architecture for runtime governance. It also includes Red Hat AI Factory software for platform orchestration.

Together, these components address security across runtime, network, data and infrastructure layers.

Meanwhile, Dell Managed Services for AI will help organizations govern access, manage resource consumption and control costs. Development teams can access AI resources while IT departments retain oversight.

“AI agents reason, use tools and learn—and they need a new kind of computer. Together, Dell and NVIDIA are building the computing foundation for the age of AI—from the deskside to the data center—so companies can build and run AI agents securely at industrial scale.”

– Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO, NVIDIA

From individual workstations to data centers

Dell has also expanded its Deskside Agentic AI portfolio with validated deployment templates.

The templates specify hardware, models and software for AI workflows. They support deployments ranging from individual developers to more than 1,000 enterprise systems.

New hardware includes Dell Pro Precision configurations with NVIDIA GB10 and GB300.

For larger deployments, Dell introduced a modular data center reference design based on NVIDIA DSX POD. The containerized system includes computing, storage, networking, power infrastructure and liquid cooling.

The company also announced new PowerEdge platforms for agent execution and AI inference.

The PowerEdge M9882 integrates 256 NVIDIA Vera CPUs in a 48U rack. Meanwhile, the PowerEdge XE9810 uses liquid-cooled compute trays with Groq 3 Language Processing Units.

Dell expects the modular data center reference design and both platforms to become available in early 2027 or the first quarter of that year.

The announcements expand Dell’s options for enterprises deploying AI agents across workstations, servers and data center infrastructure.
